Receiver Drills

Cone drills need no ball — these need one ball and one thrower. Set the cones, run the pattern, finish the catch.

Dotted line = the throw. The ball arrives the moment the receiver hits the catch point — that’s the timing you’re training.

Slant Window

Two people, one ball, a few cones

Setup Cone at 3 yards — that’s the break. Thrower hits you 4–5 yards past it, in stride.

Three steps to the cone, plant, cut at 45. Catch it in stride without slowing down — eyes catch the ball, then eyes upfield. This is the route that goes to the house.

No coach needed — a parent, a sibling, anybody who can throw. Cones make the route honest.
