How to get a coach to answer
College coaches get hundreds of messages. The ones that get answered are short, specific, and from a kid who clearly did his homework. Generic copy-paste gets deleted.
- 1Find the right coach — the position coach or recruiting coordinator for your area, not just the head coach.
- 2Send a short, personal note: who you are, your position and grad year, why THAT school, your key numbers, and a link to your film/Fite Card.
- 3Make it easy: every fact and link they need in the first message. No “let me know if you want my film” — attach it.
- 4Follow up once, politely, after a couple of weeks. Then keep stacking film and numbers.
